100% of the proceeds from GODZILLA VS AMERICA: LOS ANGELES orders went to the
Binc Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping bookstore and comic shop employees and owners with unforeseen emergencies.
“Godzilla has always been a symbol of unstoppable force, and today, we’re channeling that energy into something positive. Thanks to the support of our readers and retail partners, IDW is proud to donate $40,000 from the sales of GODZILLA VS. LOS ANGELES to Binc,” said Aub Driver, VP Marketing at IDW Publishing. “This contribution will directly support independent bookstores and comic shops recovering from the devastating fires. These stores are the heart of our LA community, and we’re honored to stand with them in their time of need.”
“It is extraordinary acts like this one from IDW and Toho that change lives,” commented Pamela French, Executive Director of the Binc Foundation. “Thank you for using your Godzilla-sized power for good!”
While it may have “versus” in the title, the acclaimed anthology series GODZILLA VS AMERICA is actually a celebration of the cities the King of the Monsters visits in each issue. Every comic features several stories by innovative comic book creators who are from or living in the titular city, and in the case of the City of Angeles, these tales were brought to life by Gabriel Hardman, Jordan Morris, Nicole Goux, Dave Baker, J. Gonzo, Scott Hannah, Heather Breckel, and Sandy Tanaka, as well as editors Jake Williams and Nicolas Niño.
