PW Insider is reporting that legendary Hardcore wrestler Sabu (real name Terry Brunk) has passed away. His last match was against Joey Janella during Wrestlemania weekend, and the last public appearance of Sabu was last weekend at the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance reunion show convention at the 2300 (formerly ECW) arena.
Sabu wrestled all over the world and made an impact wherever he went including WWE, WCW, TNA, and of course ECW here in the U.S. He also formed a legendary tag team with fellow hardcore legend Rob Van Dam in ECW.
Sabu was a true daredevil who was labeled in ECW as “homicidal, suicidal, and genocidal” by Paul Heyman. He left it all in the ring for generations of fans.
