BAD IDEA is proud to announce that Emmy Award-winning actor, writer, director and producer Seth Green, co-creator of ROBOT CHICKEN and the longtime voice of Chris Griffin on FAMILY GUY, has joined Krysten Ritter, Danny Elfman and David Dastmalchian in the star-studded voice cast of IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE: RECORD READ-A-LONG, accompanying the October release of IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE #1 from Philip Gelatt (LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS) and David Yarovesky (BRIGHTBURN).
Few creators have left a bigger mark on modern animation and voice acting than Green. For more than two decades, he has voiced Chris Griffin on FAMILYGUY, while serving as co-creator, executive producer, writer, director and one of the principal voice performers on Adult Swim’s Emmy Award-winning ROBOT CHICKEN. Across hundreds of sketches and specials, Green has voiced a seemingly endless roster of pop-culture characters, including Batman, Robin, Aquaman, Anakin Skywalker and Cobra Commander, earning multiple Emmy nominations and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance.
And his voice work reaches far beyond those two series. Green voiced Leonardo in Nickelodeon’s TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, Howard the Duck in Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY films and WHAT IF…?, and Jeff “Joker” Moreau throughout BioWare’s landmark MASS EFFECT video game trilogy. His extensive animation credits also include STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, BATMAN BEYOND, THE SIMPSONS, AMERICAN DAD! and PHINEAS AND FERB.
Green is equally recognizable in live action, starring as Scott Evil across the AUSTIN POWERS trilogy and as Daniel “Oz” Osbourne on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, with memorable roles in THE ITALIAN JOB, CAN’T HARDLY WAIT, WITHOUT A PADDLE, RAT RACE, IDLE HANDS and the original television adaptation of Stephen King’s IT.
Behind the camera, Green co-founded animation production company Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, whose work includes ROBOT CHICKEN, MARVEL’SM.O.D.O.K., SUPERMANSION and CROSSINGSWORDS. He has also directed numerous ROBOTCHICKEN specials — including its celebrated STARWARS and DC COMICS installments — and made his feature directorial debut with CHANGELAND, which he also wrote, produced and starred in.
Green becomes the latest major addition to a voice cast that already includes JESSICA JONES star Krysten Ritter, legendary BATMAN and SPIDER-MAN composer Danny Elfman, and THE SUICIDESQUAD and STREET FIGHTER star DavidDastmalchian, alongside celebrated comic book creators and industry icons Brett Bean (D’ORC), MikeCarey (LUCIFER), Shelly Bond (VERTIGO), TomásGiorello (PLANET DEATH) and Jorge Fornés(BATMAN). But Ritter, Elfman, Dastmalchian and Green are only the first of the record’s major surprise performers to be revealed, with more superstar voices still under wraps and additional cast announcements coming soon.
