CREATURE CORPS LAUNCH TO ATTACK WITH HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE TCG CHARACTER CARDS FEATURING ART BY BJORN BARANDS, DALTON ROSE & MARTIN SIMMONDS

PORTLAND, Ore. 11/06/2026 — Upcoming monster-battling December launch Creature Corps by bestselling writer Curt Pires (Fireborn, Lost Fantasy) and rising star artist JOK (51, In Hell We Fight) will offer fans the opportunity to join in on the action with a special, collectible trading card game. Image Comics is pleased to reveal three of the possible cards fans may get when they grab the Creature Corps Cover B booster bundles.

Creature Corps TCG characters depicted on the cards include: Gleaver (featuring art by Bjorn Barands), Regalleaf (featuring art by Dalton Rose), and Drakazoid (featuring art by Martin Simmonds), alongside two surprise cards whose reveals are being saved for readers to discover on release day.

In addition to the TCG component, each issue of Creature Corps will feature an ongoing backup anthology series—The World of Creature Corps—featuring writing and artwork by some of comics biggest stars and brightest newcomers, including: Franklin Jonas, Jordan Blum, Timmy Heague, Fred Kennedy, Stefan Tosheff, Juanse Eslava, and more to be announced.

This highly anticipated new series will also boast dozens of action-packed Retailer Exclusive variant covers that fans won’t want to miss out on featuring art by superstar artists like Ito, Monkeymouth, Donghee Kim, Vincenzo Riccardi and more. Eager collectors are advised to inquire with their local comic shop and add the series to their pull-list.

“I’m ecstatic to be partnering with Image Comics again for my biggest and craziest book yet. Creature Corps has it all: dark, irreverent deconstructionism of our childhood creature battling crazes, giant sized issues for only $4.99, the coolest trading cards around, and an all-star cast of contributors to the book. I’m so grateful for all the support on Fireborn and Lost Fantasy and can’t wait for readers, collectors, and retailers alike to experience Creature Corps for themselves on December 2nd!”

Creature Corps promises readers a fresh and irreverent remix of ’90s creature-battling paired with the sharp, ultra-violent satire of The Boys.

In 1999, time broke and the Calamity Creatures arrived. Creatures from a desolate tomorrow, it took mankind no time to start battling them, and even less time for it to turn into the largest for profit sporting event since the UFC: Creature Corps.

Dusty Gotem was 14 years old when he became Creature Corps world champion… and then walked away in disgust. Seventeen years later, he’s in hiding—until a time quake strikes and leaves his mother injured with massive medical bills.

There’s only one way to save her: reunite his team, and become Creature Corps world champion again. Let the games begin.
