BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS AND ANDREA SORRENTINO HAVE THE FINAL WORD ON THE MASTER OF MAGNETISM IN MAGNETO: END OF DAYS

Just announced at New York Comic Con, MAGNETO: END OF DAYS, an eight-issue prestige series by Brian Michael Bendis and Andrea Sorrentino, launches in February.

New York, NY— October 10, 2026 — Super Villain. Hero. Leader. Terrorist. Survivor. Throughout his more than 60-year publication history, Magneto has played many roles. This February, superstar creators Brian Michael Bendis and Andrea Sorrentino reunite alongside acclaimed colorist Dave Stewart to pull the Master of Magnetism’s entire life into focus in MAGNETO: END OF DAYS, an eight-issue prestige comic series.

Just announced at the Marvel Comics: House of Ideas Panel at New York Comic Con, the all-new series delivers a lavishly illustrated saga that examines the life of one of the most enduring and complex characters in all of comics, with his expansive story told from a fresh illuminating perspective. Moving through landmark moments from Magneto’s past, present, and future, each issue unfolds from a different point in his life, creating a sweeping portrait of a character who defines the power of Marvel storytelling.

From the near future where the choices Magneto made play out in very surprising ways to new insights into the pivotal eras of his past, MAGNETO: END OF DAYS is a revelatory look at an explosive life of conviction and contradiction that shaped the X-Men and the entire Marvel Universe, with guest stars galore!

“Magneto is one of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s best creations. I’ve been able to write this character over the years in books like House of M, Avengers Vs. X-Men, and Uncanny X-Men, and I’ve loved every second of it,” Bendis said. “This time, we’re going to delve into his world in very curated unique chapters from every era of the Marvel Universe. And I’m reuniting with some my favorite comic creators—Andrea and Dave together is a special event in itself, and Tom Brevoort is responsible for some of my best moments at Marvel. We’ve been working on this book for many months and it’s just beautiful.”

“Working on such an iconic character like Magneto, with all that he represents for Marvel history, has been both an exciting and an intimidating challenge,” Sorrentino shared. “I’m drawing one of the most popular and beloved comic characters, who has been penned and drawn by some of the best artists in the industry, but that encourages me to try to experiment with layouts and find new ways to show put his powers and personality on the page. I’m so excited to work with Brian on another series after our time together on Old Man Logan and I can’t wait for readers to see what Brian, Dave and myself have been working on these last few months.”

With Magneto featured in the blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday film this December, this series gives new and old readers a chance to dive into the character’s powerful legacy. Check out covers and interior artwork and stay tuned for more about the series in the months ahead.
