The origins of BadWill are surprisingly simple. The idea came during a conversation on a tennis court in Pasadena, Maryland. When a friend mentioned donating items to Goodwill, Corbridge jokingly asked, “What if there was a store called BadWill?”
That simple question sparked what would become a much larger story about loss, healing, and the emotional baggage people carry with them. While the concept may be what initially catches readers’ attention, Corbridge believes it’s the characters who keep them invested.
Before turning to comics, Corbridge spent 22 years serving in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after a career in military intelligence. Today, he channels his passion for storytelling into creating the world of BadWill and the ensemble cast that inhabits it.
