Author Roger Alford discusses the newly published paperback version of No Victory without Scars- The Black Spectre Origins, Book II.  This is part 2 of 4  describing the origin and development of The Black Spectre pulp hero from 1936 forward.  This unique pulp hero continues to grow and develop as he pursues justice for the powerless and for the villains who destroyed his family.  This is not a squeaky clean white-bread hero but a man who must overcome his own selfishness to become a true hero.  The 4 part Origin series should be completed by the end of this year.

A unique pulp hero series with an emphasis on action and character development.  This is a fun read!

Along the way, Roger discusses his continuing plans for the series, and some new writing projects that will be coming soon.
