2025 has proved to be an interesting and challenging year for the comic book industry. The bankruptcy and subsequent sale of the biggest American distributor has sent shock waves through every US publisher and comic book shop, and no one is sure where or when the subsequent reverberations will subside- and what the landscape of the comic book world will look like when they do. If anyone has wondered why there have been no new AC Comics released in the last few months, this is the reason.
We here at AC love what we do, and have always been 100% committed to producing and releasing the very best comic books we can manage. No one can afford to print products if those products are not being paid for by their wholesaler, and that is the situation we have been in for some months. That forced us to cancel all existing distributor orders for Femforce #206, #207; Superbabes #21, Superbabes #22, Cauldron of Horror #8 and Heroine Heaven #9. Please note that only those orders through our previous distributor were canceled, NOT the books themselves. AC Comics has found a new distributor, a new way forward, and is back to producing the same quality comics our readers have come to love over the past four decades. If you’ve already had those books on order at your store, you will not get them. Anything ordered after February at your store will need to be reordered as per what we are about to explain.
As of July 1, 2025; AC Comics will be available to comic shops through the comic book distribution arm of Philbo Entertainment Productions, at https://www.philbodistribution.com. Please tell your local comic shop owners to go there to pre-order all AC Comics products for you starting next month. Philbo is the brainchild of Phillip Bossert, a knowledgeable and ambitious fellow who has been involved in numerous phases of the comics industry for almost as long as AC has been around. For some time he’s been planning a distribution venture, and the current industry quagmire has given him the perfect opportunity to jump into the fray with a service ( operating very much as other traditional distributors have for many decades, albeit through an online-only catalog ) that will focus on independent publishers that have been shut out of the sudden, sweeping changes that have recently shaken the industry. Please let your dealer know that along with all AC offerings, he can find most all of the top indy publishers available for pre-order at https://philbodistribution.com. , alongside many new and exciting ones – at better terms than they have been getting from other distributors, to boot. Now, to get to the details you’re MOST interested in- AC’s plan for moving forward through Philbo: AC will be debuting there in that July catalog with a brand-new full-color title as a Philbo exclusive- Femforce Forever #1- that will be shipping to comic shops in October. ( more on that later) After that, starting in the August Philbo catalog, AC will begin offering the regular rotation of AC ongoing comics, starting with the titles/issues we canceled from our previous distributor- one title/issue every month, as we have been for years. August will list Femforce #206, September Cauldron of Horror #8, October Superbabes #21, November Heroine Heroine #9, December Femforce #207, January Cauldron of Horror #9, February Superbabes #22, March Heroine Heaven #9, and continuing in that order and at that pace as long as you readers want them. All of your favorite AC titles just as they have always been, on the same publishing schedule. That is our plan for the line going forward- back to business as usual- same books, same characters and stories, by the same classic AC creators .
If you’re wondering why we didn’t just start up with Femforce #206, picking up immediately where we left off, it’s because the Femforce title ( and the whole ongoing AC line, really) is TOO IMPORTANT. We wanted to make sure that AC fans and readers have time to become aware of Philbo Distribution and make the “change-over” before all our series start back up, in hopes that nobody misses an issue. That’s why we decided this might be the perfect time to roll out a new Femforce-related title that fans have been clamoring for, which we are calling Femforce Forever.
