Comments: Jessica takes on a monster on her own, while Erica ponders her future as a monster hunter.
Bex visits Erica, and the two have a conversation that starts out pleasantly enough but quickly becomes more complicated. The exchange allows them to bond, creating a surprisingly emotional scene, especially for Bex.
Meanwhile, the old Dragon, the ruler of the House of Slaughter, passes away. Who will take his place? Cecilia looks both amazing and dangerous wearing the Dragon’s teeth. She certainly appears ready to take control of the House.
Bex still has hopes for Erica, but Erica wants nothing more than to leave her old life behind and start over. For an entire year, she manages to do just that. However, one question continues to haunt her: Who will protect the children? Erica knows the answer. She must.
With Cecilia now the new Dragon, what does this mean for Erica and Bex? Will they eventually be forced to confront her?
The artwork has a unique style that perfectly complements the storytelling. The hunters look deadly and dangerous, even when their youthful appearances make them seem almost cute. That contrast adds something special to the visuals.
Cecilia’s rise to power raises some intriguing questions. Will her leadership bring a new era to the House of Slaughter, or will it lead to an all-out war with Erica and Bex?
