After the first Marvel release collection through Secret Lair drops in late 2024, Magic is opening the portal to assemble an entire squad. With over 600 unique card treatments, the set brings more than just the heroes and villains. Powerful artifacts, strategic Commanders, and cards fated for competitive play. The power of this mighty set releases June 19th at local game stores’ Prerelease events. The full set releases on June 26th.

New Powers & Familiar Faces
Citizens of Earth-616, it is time to meet the heroes (and villains) of this universe. Marvel Super Heroes brings a lot of new options for Commanders. In fact, there are just over 250 Commanders in the newest set, including the Commander Decks. Additionally, it is the set with the most commanders in Magic. Here are a few we are eager to see!
Card collectors, be on the lookout for The Mind Stone – Legendary Artifact – Infinity Stone. Teased at MagicCon: Las Vegas, The Mind Stone comes in three versions. The main set version features artwork by Volkan Baga. The borderless Gauntlet version depicts the Infinity Stone within Thanos’s grasp. Finally, the cosmic foil, textless version is an ultra-limited Marvel collectible.
From Classic Comic Cover to Playing Cards
Similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man Panel cards, the borderless Classic Comic Card artwork is nothing short of incredible. Each card combines iconic Marvel artwork with the name, mana cost, and rules text of a legendary creature.
Source Material cards feature infamous Marvel artists, including Jack Kirby, Alex Ross, Klaus Janson, Mike Zeck, and more. Some cards may look familiar, including the legendary creatures from Secret Lair’s Marvel Superdrop.
Marvel Super Heroes shines a spotlight on Borderless Logo cards with iconic Marvel style. These cards showcase unique artwork of Marvel characters against bold monochrome backgrounds, complete with their distinctive logos.

Mechanics Unleashed
Mechanics of the set include:
Power-Up: Give your creatures a boost. Activate each power-up ability only once. Reduce the cost by his mana cost if he entered this turn.
Teamwork: As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may tap any number of creatures you control with total power 4 or more.
Plan: For the Villains, we encourage a good schemer. Plan is a new enchantment subtype; each has a triggered ability that tells you what action you need to take to advance the plan.
Connive: Draw a card, then discard a card. If you discarded a nonland card, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.
Transforming Double-Faced Cards: After all, some heroes have a secret identity. Offering players flexibility, each card has two faces. When you cast one, you decide which face to use. If a card enters the battlefield without being cast, it comes in with its front face showing.
Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease starts June 19th-25 with the Magic: The Gathering Arena release on June 23.
