BOOM! STUDIOS READY TO ROCK AT THE ID10T MUSIC FESTIVAL + COMIC CONIVAL
The publisher will take part in Chris Hardwick’s inaugural music and comics festival
June 22, 2017 (Los Angeles, Calif.) – BOOM! Studios is pleased to announce it will exhibit at the ID10T Music Festival and Comic Conival, which will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Silicon Valley, Calif., during the weekend of June 24-25. BOOM! will occupy booth #F5.
Founded by Chris Hardwick (The Talking Dead, @midnight with Chris Hardwick, founder of Nerdist), ID10T is a unique experience meant to bring comics and music together. In its first year, what Hardwick dubs the “Conival” has already amassed an impressive lineup. With its unusual position as both a music festival and comic convention, the guests range from the band Weezer to the comedian group Garfunkel and Oates to names you would expect to see at Comic-Con, such as Babs Tarr, Dan Harmon, and Will Wheaton. Hardwick will emcee the event, mediate the main panels, and introduce select bands and comedians.
“Chris is one of the most recognizable pop culture personalities in entertainment right now, so we were flattered to be invited to this unique event that brings music and comics together in one space,” says Mel Caylo, Marketing Manager, BOOM! Studios. “Together with our fellow comics publishers who are also exhibiting, we hope to make the ‘Comic Conival’ aspect of this show a memorable experience!”
