Big Bang Adventures #38
Scott Phillips is the Astonishing Amphibia-Man: part-time hero and full-time student at Romita University in Miami. Fighting costumed criminals like the Vibrator, Moth-man and Dr. Celsius keeps Scott so busy that he considers hanging up his costume, just as a new enemy strikes close to home. As the genetically mutated Kraken attacks campus, Scott struggles to keep his two lives separate, and failing classes become the least of his worries in “The Kraken Unleashed.” Plus many covers from Amph’s storied career.
Big Bang is a retro series honoring the creators, styles and characters from the Golden and Silver Ages right up to modern times, covering 80 years of faux comics history. Big Bang Comics began as a mini-series at Caliber Press in 1994, moved to Image Comics for about 50 issues and one-shots, continued as a series of annuals from AC Comics, and has run for over 50 more issues here through IndyPlanet.
