PORTLAND, Ore. 11/06/2026 — The Hugo and Eisner Award-nominated critical smash hit The Power Fantasy by Kieron Gillen (Die Loaded, The Wicked + The Divine) and Caspar Wijngaard (Home Sick Pilots, All Against All) returns with an all-new story arc in The Power Fantasy #17. This exciting new chapter will also kick off with a variant cover by acclaimed manga artist Toru Terada and hit shelves from Image Comics will begin next month.
“The break since February has been hard for readers, and hard for us. We’ve got all these issues of The Power Fantasy building up, and haven’t been able to share,” said Gillen. “Now it all kicks off again, and we drive into the second half of this epic. The Power Fantasy loves you.”
There were six beings of such power that, if they ever fought, the world would end. They did and it did. Fallen angel Valentina has defied time itself to try, try again. So… is taking over the world the only ethical thing to do? Fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to get in on the smartest, most thrilling roller coaster in monthly comics.
The Power Fantasy #17 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, December 9:
- Cover A by Wijngaard – UPC: 70985304061301711
- Cover B by Terada – UPC: 70985304061301721
