Riot Games has begun a series of virtual band group comebacks, and these songs are climbing the charts. It’s been years since Riot Games fans have heard news of their favorite virtual bands made up of beloved League of Legends champions. Now, Riot Games has set the stage and delivered a jaw-dropping lineup featuring Heartsteel, True Damage, and K/DA.
After six years, K/DA makes a fiery, stunning comeback. Already surpassing 10 million views in the first 24 hours, K/DA returns with their new single and music video “FIRESTARTER” (Riot Games/Virgin Music Group). K/DA consists of League of Legends champions Ahri (vocalist), Akali (rapper), Evelynn (vocalist), and Kai’Sa (vocalist and lead dancer/choreographer). Featured collaborators include MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle, who return as Ahri and Akali. Sophie Powers voices Evelynn, while Mimi Webb portrays Kai’Sa.
Fortiche Production, the renowned animation studio responsible for Riot Games’ Emmy Award-winning series Arcane and the hit music video “POP/STARS” by K/DA, directed and produced the music video.
Earlier this month, virtual hip-hop group True Damage returned after seven years with the single “Know My Name”. The song is the 2026 League of Legends World Championship anthem, with an epic music video spotlighting Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. True Damage features League of Legends champions Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna, and Yasuo. This single features the voices of SOYEON, Coco Jones, Vic Mensa, and Sofía Reyes.
In early September, Riot Games kicked off this series of band comebacks with HEARTSTEEL. Across League of Legends’ social media accounts, short videos and interactions teased the band members’ lives. On September 18th, the K-pop boy band released their second music video, “LIVE MY LIFE,” featuring artists Anderson .Paak, BAEKHYUN, Connor Price, and Nic D. The band consists of Ezreal (BAEKHYUN), K’Sante (Anderson .Paak), Sett (Connor Price), Kayn (Nic D), Yone, and Aphelios.
During the 2026 World Championship, an official orchestral piece from the virtual heavy metal band Pentalkill teased a possible return.
The fire doesn’t stop there. Riot Games Music & K/DA released a tracklist for an upcoming EP, dropping October 21 at 6 PM PT. On October 21, Sona returns to the stage!
