Comments: The art delivers a creepy setting, and things only get creepier as Dr. Richards encounters something strange and terrifying.
Dr. Richards and his assistant, Victor, conduct an experiment, and the visuals deliver a truly frightening sight. The artwork brings the horror to life in a way that is both disturbing and unforgettable.
Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm are not the characters you might expect. No one seems to be living a happy life here. In fact, everyone appears to be broken inside to some degree. These are familiar characters presented in a very unfamiliar and unsettling way.
Victor is the kind of creature that would give your nightmares nightmares. There is a definite feeling of Frankenstein’s monster about him, but somehow he seems even more horrifying.
Sue and Richards do not see eye to eye, yet they may have to work together to enter the Negative Zone. From what we have seen, the Negative Zone is nothing less than Hell itself. The effects of the experiments are dreadful, and the creature that emerges from this terrifying dimension is a living nightmare.
This book explores what would happen if the Marvel Universe were transformed into a terrifying horror story that we, the readers, are forced to watch unfold. Familiar heroes and concepts become twisted reflections of themselves, creating a world where nothing feels safe.
What makes this story so effective is that you do not simply watch the horror unfold. You feel it. The suspense builds steadily, creating a growing sense of dread. You can almost feel the hairs on the back of your neck standing up as each new revelation brings something even more disturbing.
The artwork is essential to making this nightmare work. The frightening imagery, unsettling character designs, and disturbing atmosphere combine with the storytelling to create a genuinely chilling experience.
This is not your Marvel Universe. This is the Marvel Midnight Universe, and you should be afraid.
