The Inaugural ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art This November

October 13, 2026–The first ever ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will be a two-day celebration of original art by some of the most popular, influential, and inspiring contemporary comic book artists working today. This high-end event will take place at the luxurious and historic hotel, The Biltmore Los Angeles, November 7th and 8th, 2026.

The inaugural ICON Festival has added a special Saturday night event for Weekend and VIP ticket holders. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to attend an intimate conversation about art, comics, and art collecting hosted by Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter/Heat Vision with revered artist Bill Sienkiewicz (Elektra: Assassin, Stray Toasters, Moon Knight, Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse), novelist, screenwriter, and avid art collector Glen David Gold (Carter Beats The Devil), and actor, writer, and art collector Thomas Jane (The Punisher, The Mist, Play Dirty, The Expanse, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and co-creator of the 2026 Eisner award-nominated and Harvey award-winning gothic horror comic book series The Lycan).

“The ICON Festival is as much about creating an embracing community of narrative art enthusiasts as it is for the artists to connect with fans and draw inspiration from one another,” says Bill Sienkiewicz. “After all these years in the business, I’m increasingly excited for the future of comic book art.”

“I can say that as a performing artist, comic books made me,” says Thomas Jane. “The art of comics bled into my soul and sculpted the way I see story forever. The art isthe story; it transcends the epoch it was created in to live in a liminal space of shared imagination, a place we can return to again and again throughout our lives. I’m looking forward to attending ICON and discussing more with these incredibly talented people.”

“This is an exciting opportunity for fans and creators (and all of those who overlap) to revel in the aesthetics, history and passions behind comic book artwork,” says Glen David Gold. “There’s something special about the manna, the magical force, invested in those simple sheets of paper when great artists are turned loose on them. I bought my first page when I was 12 in 1976 and my exposure to great storytelling led me directly to writing novels. Getting passionate about art is also getting passionate about what makes us human.”

The first ever ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will feature some of the biggest stars in comics, including Nick Dragotta (Absolute Batman), Daniel Warren Johnson (Transformers), Ryan Ottley (Invincible), Eric Basaldua (Withchblade), Jim Cheung (Young Avengers),  Frank Cho (Skybourne), Ace Continuado (Robyn Hood), Sanford Greene (Bitter Root), Megan Huang (Star Wars), Dave Johnson (Superman: Red Son), David Mack (Jessica Jones), Dustin Nguyễn (Robin & Batman), Alex Niño (Creepy), Jason Palmer (Firefly), Dan Panosian (Wolverine Paradise), Bill Sienkiewicz (Elektra Assassin), Cat Staggs (John Carpenter’s Tales for a Halloween Night), William Stout (Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth), Dean Yeagle (Mandy). Unlike most comic book conventions and events, due to the limited number of tickets available, all attendees of the ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will have a unique opportunity to spend time and converse with these legendary artists in person, as well as look at and purchase original art for their collection.

“The Biltmore Los Angeles has been part of the city’s cultural story for more than a century, welcoming generations of artists, creatives, and visionaries through our doors,” says Matthias Kaiser, General Manager, The Biltmore Los Angeles. “We are delighted to host the inaugural ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art and bring together such an extraordinary community of artists, collectors, and enthusiasts at our historic hotel. Events like ICON celebrate creativity, storytelling, and artistic expression, while allowing us to continue building on The Biltmore’s legacy as a gathering place for remarkable people and experiences.”

The ICON Festival of Comic & Narrative Art will host The Art Of Alex Ross Exhibit. First seen in its entirety at the Dunn Museum in Chicago, the exhibit makes its way to Los Angeles for the first time. The impressive exhibit features more than one hundred original works by Ross. Ross’ artwork paved the way for a wider acceptance for painted comics, with seminal stories including Marvels,Kingdom Come, Uncle Sam, Justice, Astro City and the award-winning and national bestselling Fantastic Four: Full Circle graphic novel. Abrams Comic Arts released his critically acclaimed graphic novel Marvel Dimensions in September 2026.
