The Few and Cursed is heading back to Kickstarter, and this time Felipe Cagno and his creative team are bringing an entire chapter of the Redhead’s story together in one massive volume.
The Few and Cursed: The Great Deluge is a 232-page trade paperback collecting issues #7–12, the complete second season of the supernatural Western series created by writer Felipe Cagno and artist Fabiano Neves.
The new Kickstarter campaign launches October 13, 2026, giving readers the opportunity to experience the six-part Great Deluge storyline from beginning to end in a single collection.
For readers unfamiliar with the series, The Few and Cursed takes place in an alternate history where more than 90 percent of the world’s water mysteriously disappeared around 1840. As civilization collapsed and humanity struggled to survive, something else happened. The supernatural began to push its way into the world.
Monsters, demons, black magic, folklore, and curses became very real.
Standing against them are the Curse Chasers, including the gunslinger known simply as the Redhead, who has made a career out of hunting down the strange and deadly things that haunt what remains of civilization.
The story picks up several weeks after the events of the first six-issue storyline, Crows of Mana’Olana.
Redhead is no longer traveling alone.
She now has Hazel at her side, a teenage girl with a considerable temper and a rather serious supernatural complication: Hazel can transform into one of the enormous, deadly Crows introduced in the previous storyline.
Issue #7 finds Red trying to adjust to life with her new sidekick while the pair take on another supernatural case, hunting the legend known as La Rubia del Baño in a town near what was once the U.S.-Mexico border.
Things quickly become much larger than another monster hunt.
In issue #8, Red returns to Santana de Água Sucia after Hazel, and readers are introduced to one of the central threats of the entire storyline: the Rapture Klan.
The Klan has a goal that makes ordinary outlaw gangs look harmless.
They intend to bring about another apocalypse.
By issue #9, the Rapture Klan’s plan becomes clear. They hope to trigger a new worldwide catastrophe, effectively “resetting” the planet regardless of how many people have to die in the process.
Stopping them sends Red and her new allies after something almost as mysterious as the Klan itself: a Phantom Train.
The train may hold the key to reaching the legendary Ark of Noah before the Rapture Klan does.
The introduction of the Phantom Train pushes The Great Deluge even deeper into the mixture of Western mythology, horror, adventure, and supernatural fantasy that defines The Few and Cursed.
The chase continues in issue #10, which puts Red aboard the Phantom Express and brings her into direct conflict with the Rapture Klan. It also expands the mythology of the series with characters including Nobody, while the race for Noah’s Ark becomes the central conflict of the season.
After the confrontation aboard the train, issue #11 finds Red and her companions fleeing across the desert with the Rapture Klan in pursuit.
Their immediate goal is to reach the town of Mason, but the larger race continues.
The issue also introduces new characters from the Comanche tribe as both heroes and villains move closer to discovering the location of the Ark.
Unfortunately for Red, the villains get there first.
By the end of the fifth chapter, the Rapture Klan has discovered the lost valley containing Noah’s Ark, leaving Red and her companions behind and setting up the final confrontation.
That brings everything to issue #12, the season finale.
With the Rapture Klan finally reaching the Ark, Red and her allies must make one last attempt to prevent them from unleashing another Great Deluge and bringing about a second apocalypse.
But the conclusion is not simply a matter of stopping the villains and riding into the sunset.
Cagno has described the finale as one built around consequences and impossible decisions. Even if Red manages to save the world, there is a price that cannot be avoided.
Those consequences will also help establish the next stage of The Few and Cursed, with Cagno confirming that the series will continue into a new season following the conclusion of The Great Deluge.
Originally published individually as The Few and Cursed #7 through #12, The Great Deluge was conceived as a six-part second season following Crows of Mana’Olana.
The complete story is written by Felipe Cagno, illustrated by Fabiano Neves, colored by Tiago Barsa, and lettered by Deyvison Manes.
Collected together, the story offers a much larger adventure than the individual chapters might initially suggest.
What begins with Redhead trying to figure out how to deal with a teenage sidekick who occasionally transforms into a giant monster evolves into a race across a dried-out supernatural frontier involving a religious cult, a ghost train, Comanche warriors, an ancient biblical artifact, and a plan to literally end the world.
That’s a lot of trouble for one Curse Chaser.
The new Kickstarter brings all six chapters together as a 232-page trade paperback, allowing readers to experience The Great Deluge as the single long-form story it was designed to be.
It also makes the campaign an easy jumping-on point for readers who may have seen The Few and Cursed over the years but never followed the individual Kickstarter campaigns.
Although The Great Deluge follows the first storyline, Cagno has described the second season as accessible enough to serve as an entry point into the larger world of The Few and Cursed.
For longtime fans, the collection finally puts the entire second season together on the shelf.
For new readers, it offers 232 pages of Weird Western gunslinging, monsters, curses, ghost trains, lost civilizations, biblical mythology, and one redheaded Curse Chaser standing between the Rapture Klan and the end of the world.
