Comments: Tanelorn is mentioned and shown. It is a place of many things, sought by many, yet somehow it also seeks you. Tanelorn is a place of mystery and wonder.

Elric and Moonglum journey to the Fortress of the Day, where the Empress of the Day rules. At her castle, Elric faces an army single-handedly. After being betrayed, Elric truly finds himself fighting alone.

The story feels disjointed and jumps around, leaving you wondering what actually happened. Then the story jumps back in time to explain earlier events. There are also a lot of characters mentioned without enough explanation about who they are or what purpose they serve.

The Sisters of Elenoin are fully naked female creatures armed with swords who are more demonic than human. They are illustrated in a way designed to inspire terror. Arioch is now presented as a Duke of Hell with vast power.

Tanelorn is a city that somehow is not a city, yet still is. It remains mysterious. Elric is a champion of Chaos who fights to maintain the balance between Chaos and Law.

This issue needed much better explanations of who the various characters were and what roles they played. The story itself also needed to be more focused and have a clearer goal.

Elric is illustrated as a powerful warrior, but there are not enough opportunities to actually see him fighting. Showing him in action more often would have been a major plus for this book.

Elric is a great character and one that readers will want to see succeed. Unfortunately, the confusing storytelling and lack of explanation make this issue more difficult to enjoy than it should be.
