RIACHBROS Entertainment and publishing imprint RB Comics reveal the core creative team behind the highly anticipated Northern England set Comic series.
Following a series of character dossier reveals, RIACHBROS Entertainment and RB Comics — a publishing imprint established specifically for the Northern Noir release — have officially unveiled the full core creative team behind the series, a prestige crime thriller set against the gritty, atmospheric backdrop of 1970s Northern England.
Created and written by Bradford-born multi-hyphenate artist Anthony Riach (Room 20, Untitled), Northern Noir combines raw, character-driven storytelling with a high-stakes crime mystery. To bring the dark visual narrative to life, Riach has assembled a roster of artists spanning major comic publishers and screen productions:

Anthony Riach (Creator & Writer): Bringing his distinct cinematic perspective and grounded Northern storytelling to the page.

Adam Tomkins (Lead Artist): The Sheffield-born illustrator handling pencils and inks, whose credits include promotional art for Sony/Cineworld’s Spider-Man campaign and concept art for Netflix’s Altered Carbon Season 2.

Roy Huteson Stewart (Colourist): The Huddersfield-based artist establishing the story’s moody, atmospheric palette, known for his work on 2000 AD, the Emmy-nominated transmedia project Collide, and the graphic novel Aleister Crowley: Wandering the Waste.

Saida Temofonte (Letterer & Logo Designer): An industry veteran with decades of experience lettering major titles for DC Comics (Batman, Wonder Woman), Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, and IDW, who also custom-designed the official Northern Noir title logo.
“Northern Noir is a story deeply rooted in the soil, grit, and complex social landscape of the North,” says creator Anthony Riach. “Every artist on this team brings a different weapon to the page — from Adam’s shadow-drenched linework and Roy’s cold, rain-slicked palettes to Saida’s legendary lettering precision — and together they’re building something that reads as authentically Northern as it does world-class.”
