BURBANK, CA. Madeleine Holly-Rosing, writer/creator of the graphic novel series Boston Metaphysical Society, announced the launch of her campaign to fund the printing of the third and fourth issues of her new graphic novel mini-series, Morgana Pendragon. Loosely based on the legend of King Arthur, this retelling focuses on his sister, Morgana, who,o after twenty years working as a mercenary, returns to England when news of Arthur’s impending death reaches her. “Who doesn’t love tales of King Arthur and Morgana, but I was always curious as to what time and age would do to their relationship,” Ms. Holly-Rosing commented. “Family dynamics mixed with politics has always been a favorite theme of mine.”
The series has interior art by Mad Cave talent search winner Alden Kaye, colors by Warnia Sahadewa, main covers by Rio Burton, and editing by Dave Avallone. Troy Peteri is back on board doing letters. “The entire team has done an amazing job,” remarked Ms. Holly-Rosing. “Everyone contributed to us winning the Zelda Award for Best Individual Issue.”
Having entered the comics world over ten years ago with her steampunk supernatural series, Boston Metaphysical Society, Ms. Holly-Rosing brought her background of TV and feature film writing along with a love of history, science fiction, and fantasy.
