Comments: Cecilia is trapped in a school, protecting a child, as she must kill a Duplicitype monster. Maxine from the House is trying to help Cecilia.
Cecilia is trying to figure out how to kill the monster. She may have it figured out.
Meanwhile, back at the House of Slaughter, Maxine and Victor Saint-Georges have a brief conversation. There is much drama going on here. Maxine is impressive. She steps up her game. This little Black Mask knows what she is doing—or at least thinks she does. Only time will tell.
Cecilia is impressive here. Cecilia Slaughter of House Slaughter was in Colin’s sights. Well, when you hunt a hunter, the prey may become the hunter. It always was; it just needed to remember its true place. Cecilia’s attitude is one of “live with my attitude or die.”
The way the chess pieces move across the board is terrifying. Pray you’re on the right side of the board.
The art fits the story, portraying these people from the Houses as ordinary people doing an extraordinary job. They are the only defense against the monsters.
