LOS ANGELES 5/14/2026— Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, revealed a dazzling variant cover series by rising star artist Fadime Yildirim (Pop Kill, Vampirella) starting with G.I. JOE #25 and continuing through G.I. JOE #30.
The beautifully styled variant covers each feature a member of the G.I. JOE team serving their best streetwear looks and will be available as 1:25 incentive variants across these six can’t-miss issues.
“It was incredibly exciting for me to collaborate with Skybound on a fashion-driven project like this. With over 10 years of experience in both branding and design within the textile industry, I can say the process was both fun and highly creative,” explained artist Fadime Yildirim. “I started by building individual mood boards for each character to define their visual direction. From there, I translated their personalities into sharp silhouettes, layered textures and key pieces inspired by current fashion season signatures elements that feel instinctive to who they are. Across the series I balanced operational, military-inspired influences with a contemporary streetwear aesthetic. The goal was to give each design a strong urban edge. I hope people feel the same sense of excitement and enjoyment that I experienced while creating them!”
The landmark issue #25 of the hit Energon Universe series from the visionary team of writer Joshua Williamson (DC K.O.), artists Tom Reilly (Duke) & Andrea Milana (Cobra Commander), colorist Lee Loughridge (Creepshow), and letterer Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS), launches the series’ next blockbuster story arc and hits comic book shops on August 19, 2026.
Everything has been leading to this EXTRA-SIZED landmark issue as Joe battles Joe, friends become enemies, and the chart-topping team of Joshua Williamson and Tom Reilly kick off the biggest G.I. JOE story in Energon Universe history!

In addition to the 1:25 incentive variant cover by Fadime Yildirim, G.I. JOE #25 features a main cover by series artist Tom Reilly, two open to order variants by Jerome Opeña & Neeraj Menon and Miki Okazaki, a 1:50incentive variant by Michele Rubini & Annalisa Leoni, a 1:100 foil incentive variant by Jonboy Meyers, two blank sketch covers, a foil variant of Tom Reilly’s main cover, and a foil die cut mask cover by Andrea Milana.
