Opened last week for pre-order, Wolverine/Shi: Dark Night of Judgment #1 25th Anniversary Specialhas now been approved for print with all four variant editions of Crusade’s most limited special going to press.

Created by Inkpot recipients Beau Smith and Billy Tucci with inks by Rich Perrotta and colors by Atomic Paintbrush, Wolverine/Shi #1 thrusts the reader onto the burning, battle strewn streets of Tokyo. Wolverine questions the judgment and perhaps lost goals of Ana Ishikawa (Shi) that have placed her in a situation most desperate. Questions that inflame an already internal wound of the soul that Ana is fighting within herself.

The overused term, “battle to the death,” has become tired and worn out. The battle that Tucci and Smith inject Wolverine and Shi into deals with more than the bloodshed of a physical plane. It delves into the souls of these two warriors of legend as they fight for more than just life. They battle for the right to die on their own terms.
