The season one finale of “Time For Dimensional Robin” is here, continuing its streak of mind-blowing sci-fi elements and humor. It also marks a new beginning for Robin and Marv, building on the excitement from her series. The episode picks up after episode 09, with Robin reaching out to her father. It touches on moments like her father meeting Marv—who, in this universe, is a couple—and whether her machine is working. Their happiness is short-lived, however, as two twins (guest stars Brandon and Sean Simpson) who finish each other’s sentences use a device to destroy Robin’s machine and fatally injure Marv (he gets hit in the groin. Poor guy!). The device shoots a proton stream, creating danger—a clever “Ghostbusters” reference that fits well in the episode and appears again later. While Aponte sits out most of the episode, Hies and the Simpson twins excel, adding humor and heart. The performances of both Simpson twins, however, make this episode the best of the season, especially as they navigate the collider’s weirdness while having an intense conversation about changing multiverse elements. One twin even looks like they just walked out of “Fight Club,” adding authenticity and raw emotion to portray their pain and quest to save the universe. This elevates the drama beyond simple comedy, thanks to Aponte’s writing and the twins’ strong performances. Miho Fuji makes a quick cameo, making the most of her scene. As Robin and Marv enter a new phase of dimension-hopping, the episode ends on a high note—saying goodbye to season one’s old status quo and opening the door to new adventures, leaving fans excited for season two.
