Episode 07: Got Milk?
NOTE: This week’s installment of “T4DR” is actually episode 07, since last week’s release was just a behind-the-scenes special. Sorry for the mix-up on my part!
Rating:
This week’s “T4DR” took a wonderfully strange and amusing turn as Robin and Marvin find themselves on a world where women get their milk from men (yes, you heard that right!). It reminded me of “The One with the Breast Milk,” the season two episode of “Friends,” where Susan’s breast milk grosses out Ross—so natural and played up for laughs, or that episode of “The Simpsons” where Homer, working as Mayor Quimby’s bodyguard, finds out that Fat Tony is supplying Springfield with milk from cockroaches. This episode really cranks up the humor with this quirky premise, which was a delightful surprise. Ellen, Robin’s roommate and lover in this dimension, played by the talented Salome Costa, truly brings the comedy to life with her lively performance, capturing the hilarity of drinking milk from a man. Poor Marvin, meanwhile, gets the amusing but unfortunate task of supplying milk for the ladies—much to his delight! What really makes this episode stand out—and a fan favorite—is the chemistry between Hies and Costa, bouncing effortlessly from outright craziness to a heartfelt moment toward the end. That added a perfect touch of drama to balance all the weirdness and make the story even richer. Aponte also shines with his reaction to tasting his own milk, giving us some good laughs, but Robin truly steals the scene with her sudden craving for the milk, which is just hilariously charming—you can’t help but smile! The latest “T4DR” episode really milked this premise for all its worth (pun intended), once again delivering a wild and unforgettable element from the multiverse. And thanks to Costa’s fantastic performance, it makes the idea of milk look incredibly bizarre, leaving us seeing it in a whole new light.
***Welsey Kellison’s cameo as a Nazi general provides a comedic twist, but I can’t help but feel it was strategically timed to coincide with the recent jaw-dropping reveal of the events in the latest episode of “Peacemaker.” This clever timing is something that only the most dedicated fans would truly appreciate!
Well, that’s it for me. Thanks for sticking around, and I look forward to seeing you next time.
