Comments: Zula comes to Conan’s aid against Athyr-Bast, an evil serpentine enchantress. The two of them against a city of Stygians. There is the stink of magic everywhere in this city. Zula and Conan now band together and plan to face Thoth-Amon.
Conan and Zula are stopped along their way, and a battle ensues as swords strike hard and fast, drawing blood. The dark city and its citizens do give one a feeling of dread.
Conan and Zul, as they converse with Thoth, Amon look for the right moment to strike him down.
Thoth-Amon shows him how powerful he is. Things go differently than Conan expected, and he and Zula escape alive. Or have the,y as the city and all its inhabitants, all now out to get Conan and Zula? They are in for the fight of their lives in this city of serpents. Will they escape?
