For the first time, SRCC Press will be releasing two issues of two different series, Powers Squared and The Blade of Miracles, on the same day.
Issue #25 of Power Squared, “Yuki-Onna”, is what happens to Marty while Eli battles a Gashadokuro. Marty shows a new student, Affogato, around school. Unfortunately, she turns out to be a Yuki-Onna, a yokai known for freezing their victims. Can Marty survive her cryogenic touch? You’ll have to wait until June 25th to find out.
The issue was written and edited by Paul Hankins, drawn by Julia Canon, with colors by Jen Moren, and lettering by Trevor Hankins.
“Trevor and I each wrote an issue, his dealing with Eli and mine with Marty. This is a new situation for each character. Since they share superpowers and only one can use a shared power at a time, it presents them with unique situations,” says Paul.
Also coming out on June 25th is “The Black Knight, Part 1”, the 4th issue of The Blade of Miracles, Trevor Hankins’ 12-part series loosely based on the King Arthur legend. In this issue, Lancelot returns to his hometown of Benwick in search of Excalibur, only to find it in ruin. Who would commit such a terrible deed and why?
The Blade of Miracles is written, drawn, and lettered by Trevor, with Paul serving as the editor.
