The Last of Us Season 2 has been an intense experience right from the first episode. Fans of the games will appreciate how costume designer Ann Foley has remained faithful to the passion and attention to detail that the game and series have received up to this point. It’s evident that she aligns perfectly with the creators, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.
The Last of Us Season 2 kicks off five years after the events of the first season. The Fireflies are gone, Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie’s (Bella Ramsey) relationship is strained, and a threat more deadly than the Clickers looms on the horizon. Despite the community they have found a home in the world is even more dangerous than the one they left behind.

Chayes and Foley have effortlessly captured the post-apocalyptic style, highlighting the vestiges of community and personal expression among the characters. Overall, the costumes perfectly align with the series’ tone and storyline.
Season 2 will have seven episodes, making it shorter than season one by two episodes. Meaning, episode 7 “TBA” will stream on May 25th on HBO Max.
