(January 24, 2017 – Burbank, CA) – Vicky Colf has been named Chief Technology Officer for Warner Bros. Entertainment, it was announced today by Thomas Gewecke, Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, to whom Colf will continue to report.In her new role, Colf will have complete oversight of Warner Bros.’ vast portfolio of technology services and solutions, and partner closely with Gewecke on technology strategy for the Studio worldwide.

Concurrent with Colf’s promotion, Warner Bros. is centralizing its technology functions with the creation of the new Warner Bros. Technology (WBT) business unit. WBT brings together Warner Bros.’ industry-leading technologists and disciplines to ensure global alignment with business strategy, and accelerated delivery of innovative technology solutions studio- and industry-wide. From pre-production through archiving, the WBT organization will provide critical business and technology intelligence and services to all Studio business units. WBT manages the Studio’s enterprise systems and solutions, emerging platforms, information security, consumer intelligence, content mastering and delivery, and more.

As the Studio’s CTO, Colf will provide strategic leadership across the full spectrum of Warner Bros. Technology’s services, research and development. The WBT teams are responsible for the Studio’s emerging technology research and development; consumer intelligence and data governance; OTT platform strategy and support; digital ownership strategies; information security and technical aspects of content protection; studio technical operations and production technologies; content mastering, localization and worldwide delivery; asset management, content preservation and archives; application and platform development and operations; and foundational enterprise, sales and distribution systems and solutions, among many other existing and emerging technology disciplines.

Prior to her promotion to CTO, Colf led the Studio’s technology teams as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Technology Solutions and Technical Operations. Before that, she served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Content Servicing and Digital Solutions. Prior to that, Colf was Senior Vice President, Digital Services and Solutions, a role she assumed following her promotion from Senior Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Digital Services and Technical Systems Development. Colf joined Warner Bros. Entertainment as Vice President, Corporate Business Development and Strategy in 2004. She began her career as a Consultant for Andersen Consulting in 1995. Colf holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Harvey Mudd College.
