Anna Foerster makes her film directorial debut in the upcoming, “Underworld: Blood Wars,” the fifth film in the hit horror-action series and marking the first time a woman has directed this blockbuster franchise – a series about a powerful female lead deserves a powerful woman behind the camera! The trailer debuted this week and the film will hit theaters on January 6, 2017.

 

Anna is no stranger behind the camera, she’s helmed multiple episodes of the hit Starz’ series “Outlander” as well as “Criminal Minds” and “Unforgettable” and is known for her work as a cinematographer on “White House Down” and “Anonymous,” the latter winning her a German Film Award for Best Cinematography. German-born Foerster also served as visual effects cinematographer on “Independence Day” and “Godzilla,” making her the perfect fit to navigate and direct the fantasy and action-filled next installment of the of the “Underworld” series.
