Skelton Crew Studio Unveils Latest Replica from Joe Hill’s ‘Locke & Key’
Fans can get a glimpse of the men behind the curtain with the limited edition Reali Key
Litchfield, ME — Skelton Crew Studio, a comic book replica studio based in the wilds of Maine, has collaborated with “Locke & Key” creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez to create a brand new collectible replica of the Reali Key. This key is featured in the “Guide to the Known Keys,” part of IDW Publishing’s next “Locke & Key” hardcover, a collection of one-shots coming out later this year.
Since 2008, the studio has created more than 30 high-end collectible keys from the series, each designed by Gabriel Rodriguez and crafted to look as though they’ve fallen out of the pages of the book and come to life. (Head Key for unlocking your thoughts, anyone?)
The Reali Key, bright silver and gold-plated with black enamel accents, features a reverse letter “R,” eyelashes across the rounded top and a black enamel pupil at its center.
It’s only available until May 8, when the limited edition run is set and the Reali Key is officially sold out. Each hand-numbered tag comes signed by Skelton.
