SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ACCUSATIONS AGAINST George Takei
Star Trek actor George Takei is the latest to be accused of sexual assault as the scandal in Hollywood continues to grow. Takei was accused by a former model and actor, who claims the incident took place in 1981.
Scott R. Brunton alleges the assault occurred the 1981 encounter with Takei, when Brunton was just 23 years old, that left the former model feeling violated. “This happened a long time ago, but I have never forgotten it,” Brunton said. “It is one of those stories you tell with a group of people when people are recounting bizarre instances in their lives, this always comes up. I have been telling it for years, but I am suddenly very nervous telling it.”
The two met at Greg’s Blue Dot bar when Brunton was working as a waiter, only just beginning his career as a model and actor. One evening when the then “43 or 44-year-old” Takei visited the bar, the duo exchanged phone numbers, and from there, they went on to talk on the phone from time to time, until Brunton broke up with his then boyfriend and finally met back up with Takei after the Star Trek actor invited him to dinner and the theater.
That night, when they’d returned to Takei’s place is when the alleged incident took place. As Brunton tells it, they shared a drink and things were going well until he’d gone for seconds. Unlike the first drink, the emerging model and actor felt dizzy and disoriented with the second drink, leading to him passing out in a beanbag chair in Takei’s home. When he came to, he apparently found his pants around his ankles with Takei touching him inappropriately.
While Brunton has discussed the incident among friends, he’d kept from going to the media until the Harvey Weinstein scandal, and more specifically, when Takei spoke out against Kevin Spacey, who responded to the allegations against him by deciding to come out as gay.http://www.firstcomicsnews.com/sexual-misconduct-accusations-against-george-takei/http://www.firstcomicsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/me-too-600x257.pnghttp://www.firstcomicsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/me-too-150x64.pngNews
