ROLLED & TOLD NO. 0 NOW AVAILABLE ON COMIXOLOGY
Publisher Brings Diverse and Inclusive Gaming Publication to the Premier Digital Comics Platform
ST. LOUIS, MO—Following the Comic-Con premiere of the comics and gaming hybrid magazine Rolled & Told, Lion Forge will make this flagship publication of its new Quillion imprint available as a free download through Comixology.
Rolled & Told combines the thrill of tabletop role-play with the storytelling of comics in a monthly comic book format. The monthly series brings a ready-to-play, fun adventure for one of gaming’s favorite tabletop role-playing games, alongside beautiful illustrations, comics coinciding with each full adventure, as well as instructive articles. Rolled & Told enhances gameplay for new and old game masters alike.
Gaming and comics fans can get their first taste of this exciting new publication today through Comixology, with a special 0 issue featuring a “barcrawl” like no other! It’s not every day you find a tavern with a dungeon challenge built in its basement! “The Thunderlock Barcrawl” puts players in an adventure that is part proving ground, part extreme sporting event, in the hope of adding their names to the illustrious “Wall of Crawlers.”
“I am astounded and excited about how well the reaction to Rolled & Toldhas been so far. People were making several trips to the Lion Forge booth at SDCC to see if they could get a free issue of the new magazine, so I’m happy that they’ll be able to get a digital version of the free issue now,” says Christina “Steenz” Stewart, editor of Rolled & Told. “At SDCC, I hosted a panel where contributors from Rolled & Told talked about the tabletop gaming industry and how to make it more inclusive; and not just for marginalized folks already a part of the community without a voice, but also people new to tabletop gaming entirely. I can’t wait for more gamers to see what we’ve got cooking.”
Rolled & Told No. 1 has been solicited in Diamond’s July dated PREVIEWS catalog, with final orders due on September 3! Let your favorite local retailer know you’re on board today! In the meantime, head to Comixology to check out the special free digital issue, or Gen Con attendees can find a limited amount of copies available at the Gaming Trade Magazine table #118!
