Comments: “Sparkplug Meets Hermia Goddess of Thieves” Sparkplug has a problem she is jealous of Olga Gottmann which is herself in her civilian identity. She just wants to be recognized for who she really is. Sparkplug is just a concept, a costume. Olga is the real thing.
Sparkplug’s boyfriend is being flirted with and chased by Hermia. A mere mortal has a Goddess after him. He is stupid here not to realize fully that Sparkplug and Olga are the same person but that Olga is the real woman.
The way the Gods and Goddesses act will leave you wondering.
The art has a rough edge to it. Jimmy Dooley is drawn as a handsome man, the two women are drawn beautifully. Hermia is illustrated showing off a lot of skin.
“Opera Night” Olga and Jimmy go on a date. The colors are done so light that they give an uplifting look to the art. The story basically has the super-heroes here in civilian identities for the whole story. The story is about learning more of how Sparkplug aka Olga is as a person.
This comic series is unlike any team comic as it does focus a lot on the individual characters rather than the team. This way you do get to learn more about the heroes and therefore you will care more about what happens to them.
