Ben Affleck’s Batman film is in trouble before it even begins. The film will feature a completely “original story”, and not be based on an existing comic.

Initially, Ben Affleck was announced to be directing as well as starring as Bruce Wayne in the Batman movie.

Later he said that he may not direct the film at all if he doesn’t like the script. “If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great, I’m not going to do it,”

Then it was announced that Ben Affleck won’t direct Batman, a development that has been in the wind for weeks. He has been wavering and finally decided not to go forward as director, remaining as the star. The studio is eyeing a shortlist of shooters that include Captain Fantastic’s Matt Ross and Matt Reeves.

The concern being that there may be a problem with the story as Ben Affleck indicated he wouldn’t direct if he didn’t like the story.

Matt Reeves, who was in negotiations to take over directing duties on The Batman, has now walked away from the project, making him the second director to do so after Ben Affleck, who’s also starring, backed out.

All these stories are bad news for DC Comics most popular hero and most successful movie franchise.

The Dark Knight isn’t the only superhero base slot on the market and progressive slots are all the rage, but this is a fun and exciting way to spend some free time.

You, on the other hand, don’t have to wait for the Batman film to join the Dark Knight in action.

The Dark Knight Rises is a 5 reel 243 ways to win video slot powered by Microgaming. It’s based on the 2012 blockbuster film (of the same name) and the second The Dark Knight slot to be released. The game is based on the DC Comics character Batman (played by Christian Bale) who faces Selina Kyle and Bane who aim to destroy Gotham City. Bruce Wayne (Batman) comes out of retirement to become Batman once again.

The Dark Knight Rises has new features such as the Free Spins Accumulator, Symbol Scramble, and Split Wilds.

These new features are activated randomly in the base game. The Symbol Scramble feature where all the symbols on the reels move around into different positions to give you winning combinations. Next is the Expanding Wild feature where the Special Wild symbol is an expanding wild on reel 3.

In the Fight Mode feature, you are awarded a random number of free spins and multiplier. Batman and Bane fight it out to award you a random number of free spins and a multiplier value. This is then added to the free spins/multiplier in the Free Spins Bonus feature (when you trigger it next).

The Free Spins Bonus feature is triggered by getting or more Scatter Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels. You are rewarded with 10 free spins. You will then play 1 of 2 bonus games which are as follows. You can choose either Bane or Batman.

If you choose Bane, any win will activate the Rolling Reels feature, when you have a winning combination, the winning symbols explode and disappear with the symbols above shifting position. New symbols drop in as a result meaning that you can win again and again on every free spin.

The Super Stacked Wilds feature which is unlocked once you activate the Free Spins Bonus feature 10 times. The Dark Knight Rises logo symbol is the wild and creates a wild stack when appearing on reels 2 and 4. This can result in huge wins!

If you choose Batman, you have the Extra Wild Blast feature you get to choose a symbol as an extra wild which can increase your chances of winning. Then there’s the Heat Seeking Wilds feature which is unlocked once you trigger the Free Spins Bonus feature 10 times. Random symbols on the 3 middle reels and then transformed into wilds which can split in 2 creating more chances to win. In effect, you can create a 6 of a kind combination which is worth double that of a 5 of a kind combination.

The Dark Knight Rises may sound complicated but if you are lucky in the Fight Mode feature, you can do very well out of the Free Spins Bonus feature. It’s a medium variance slot meaning that wins are of a decent size and fairly regularly. It’s differently an improvement on the original The Dark Knight.
