HEROIC PUBLISHING LAUNCHES FUND-RAISING DRIVE ON KICKSTARTER.COM
Now’s your chance to help FLARE and the LEAGUE OF CHAMPIONS move from the world of comic books into a brand-new role-playing card game.
With 25 years of publishing great superhero comics under their belt, Heroic Publishing is getting ready to move into other fields. First up is a fund-raising drive on Kickstarter.com to raise working capital that will finance an expandable role-playing card game featuring FLARE and the LEAGUE OF CHAMPIONS against the sinister LEAGUE OF ENEMIES. Publisher Dennis Mallonee and developer Dan Smith are busily translating characters from Heroic Publishing’s popular comic books into a card-playing rules system that will allow fans to fight their own table top battles of good versus evil, either with heroes and villains provided in the basic game, or by creating their own characters.
The basic game set will include FLARE, THE HUNTSMAN, ICESTAR, and PSYCHE as the heroes, with OGRE, DEMONFIRE, RED RAPIER, and ESPER as the villains. Future expansions, supplements, and bonus packs will add new characters, scenarios, powers, and situations, many of them derived from the comic books themselves!
.. Heroic is looking to raise a total of at least $7,500 to finance development, printing, and promotion of the new Flare card game. Pledges in amounts ranging from $5 to $2,500 or more can now be made on the kickstarter.com website, at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/346915533/flare-and-the-league-of-champions-rpg-card-game
In exchange for their pledges, once the project is successfully funded, contributors will receive merchandise rewards that include copies of the card game itself, shopping sprees on the Heroic Publishing website, and autographed original Flare artwork by her classic artist, Mark Beachum.
If you’ve ever wanted to be involved in making a comic book and gaming project come to life, now’s your chance to help make it happen. Visit the Heroic Publishing website, or the Kickstarter website, and make your pledge today!
