Andy Smith is a good friend of Charlotte’s Heroes Convention. He is an annual guest and  donates art every year to the  fund raising art auction. This year Andy spent most of Friday afternoon, painting the daughter of Alan Scott/Green Lantern; Jade. Amy snapped off a couple of casual shots of Andy shortly after our arrival as he sat at the painter’s podium. But as the afternoon continued, we noticed he remained on the elevated deck, diligently working on the painting when he could have been at his booth doing sketches for personal profit.

So, Amy chronicled his efforts throughout Friday afternoon. In the first image you can still see the pencils from his initial draft on the painting board and observe the painting’s evolution though Amy’s images until Andy finally put the paintbrush down and quietly observed his afternoon of effort.

Full disclosure; Amy was so impressed with the painting, she bid on it Saturday night at the auction and won.
