WOW!! We have reached our initial goal faster than I had ever imagined. My hearfelt thanks to my amazing supporters.

NOW for the real miracle goal – to get in into the hands of thousands of children with cancer, FOR FREE

I am happy to announce a new STRETCH GOAL of $25,000.

At this level I can print 5,000 copies of NISTAR and give them to children with cancer all over the world, AT NO COST TO THE CHILD.

 Superhero Needed!!

The world is in need of a true superhero. Not to stop a speeding train. Or to scale a skyscraper in pursuit of masked marauders. But to face the vile nemesis that children of all races and religions battle on a daily basis. Cancer.

JJ Barak is the world’s first such hero, and I need your help in bringing him to life. Nistar is a 104 page, fully colored graphic novel about JJ Barak and his battles against Cancer, illustrated by none other than renowned comic book artist Josef Rubinstein (published by Marvel and DC comics) as well as other comic book artists.

I have been working on this project for over 10 years, since my husband passed away at the age of 24 after battling pediatric bone cancer. During his five-year treatment in a children’s oncology ward I watched him use his charisma and charm to give hope to his young friends on the ward. Inspired by his legacy I created this superhero, in the hopes of someday reaching the hearts of all children, especially those who need a bit of light to help them through their times of darkness.

My dream is get this book into the hands of the little heroes who need it most.

What we need and what you get

We are hoping to raise $15,000 to pay for the completion of the artwork and the cost of a first print run!! I hope to raise enough money so that I can distribute Nistar to children with cancer all over the world, for free!

In exchange for your support you will be able to choose between some basic rewards and some really amazing packages. At higher reward levels we are offering signed prints, original sketches of your favorite superhero, and even portraits of someone you love drawn by the amazing Joe Rubinstein!

From levels $25 and up a copy of Nistar will be donated to a child with cancer.
