Spirited bidding at the annual Heroes Con Auction Saturday Night June 23rd at the annual Heroes Con Art Auction was interrupted by the unexpected appearance of Marvel’s Stan Lee. Lee slipped into the room and was almost immediately recognized with gasps, cheers and a long standing ovation.

The co-creator of Spider-Man amidst ongoing cheers signed Phil Noto’s painting of Gwen Stacey and Spidey.

But the Noto and Lee piece could not trump the earlier auction of Mark Brooks Phoenix painting which capped at $9,500.

Despite those high dollar bids there were numerous pieces that sold for over $1,000.
The annual event is designed to help raise money for the convention itself, defraying expenses.
Listed below are the prices of pieces along with art when available.
