Comics & Roaches on Chains

What is YOUR biggest fear? Public speaking? Drowning? Most folks have a touch of herpetophobia – the fear of “creepy-crawlies”. And, if you’re like most folks, the creepiest, crawliest thing you can imagine is a cockroach. Terrance Zdunich, comic book artist and creator and star of the cult-hit film REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, is here to help put an end to your fears.
Fans of the multi-disciplinarian Zdunich may already be familiar with his love of bugs due to the animated cockroach graphics that guide visitors through his personal website. They may also recognize his hissing pets, Marv and Goldie, as the six-legged co-stars of his popular online series, THE TUTOR, where he instructs students in the ways of art… and murder. A few brave students abandoned their “pest” prejudices and adopted a pair of Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches at the sold- out THE TUTOR’S GALLERY event in Hollywood.
When he’s not busy roach rearing, playing grave-robbers in cult operas, or drawing parallels between art and homicide, Terrance works as a full-time writer, illustrator, and publisher of an indie comic book series called THE MOLTING- but even this endeavor is not cockroach-free!
Zdunich’s THE MOLTING tells the mundane, yet horrific story of a disturbed family’s struggle through the trials and tribulations of every day life in the dark, gritty, cockroach- infested suburbs of Anaheim, California. THE MOLTING has been hailed as an “eerie,slow-burning, four-colored, panel-framed nightmare” and “the real deal in independent comics.”

“Mother’s Day”, the fifth installment of the twelve-part series, takes place on Halloween night when THE MOLTING’s Pryzkind family has more than unwanted trick-or-treaters to contend with. At this house, the real Halloween horrors are unleashed when a set of roach bombs turn up more than just six-legged casualties.

Chapter Five, “Mother’s Day”, is currently available for purchase only at www.TheMoltingComic.com. In honor of the release of this 56-page, full-color issue, Terrance has made available a special, limited edition COCKROACH PENDANT AND NECKLACE. Only 100 of these pewter keepsakes were made and only a few remain! A box set of all five issues of the comic with the necklace is also available at a package discount.
